It’s episode 69 and that can only mean one thing: It’s time for the Super Sexy Holiday Live Show Spectacular!! Bow chicka bow wowowowowow….
Happy birthday to everyone’s favourite MMO and RTS series, the return of a rocky old friend, more LEGO, more Bendis, and more reasons to love the head that we’re a hat to. We bow down to our Google overlords, CANADIAN CONTENT! Some protons get smashed (and not THAT kind of smashed) and more Apple tablet rumors. DSLRs make good music videos, robotic arms are closer than you think and a legacy LOL. All this and more on this week’s DTL!
Please note the show that these are noting…
A heavy dose of Canadian goodies, baddies and funnies, a look at what’s new and shiny over at the Apple camp, threeeee deeeeeeeeee, D&D (not 3D D&D, though), a blast from our 90s-children (mostly) pasts and Dave’s steampunky, westerny and wolfy comic review. All this and a good dose of staying on topic on this week’s DTL.
Show notes
The week, we just LOVE… braaaains… braaains? Ahem. What I mean is, this week Dave doesn’t like his comic pick, we love all the purtty colours and we actually like Microsoft! (Not a lie.) All this an- BRAAAAINS- on Dos Time Live.
Show Notes:
Dave tries not to spoil this weeks comics. We talk about the Fab news on the Fab Four. Quinn just looooves Telus and we talk a lot about Apple. We want a touch wall and we all want to be cool like T-Pain. All this and a little more in this week’s DTL.
Show Notes:
We spend some time reminiscing of our LEGO filled, 8-bit, hackalicious pasts. Inglorious Bastards is apparantly Quinn and Scott’s new favourite movie and they tell you why. Quinn shares insight on what focal lengths should mean to you! Finally, Sean joins the crew to discuss Snow Leopard and the “failures”, or in our opinion “awesome things”, found in the Star Wars saga. All this and much more on this episode of Dos Time Live.
Show Notes:
This week, Dave talks about time travel, Sam rambles on about WoW rumors, Quinn and Scott review District 9 and there are zombies. That’s right, zombies! Is the Apple store the new cool place to be? That kid thinks so! The new PS3 slim is pretty sexy, so is Quinn’s new iPhone theme and apparently Sam thinks Felicia Day is pretty sexy too. Wait, what? Find out on this week’s Dos Time Live…
Show Notes:
Its Bros Time Live again! Dave gives out 2 A’s is his not-so-comic review. Sam joins us with a summary of San Diego Comic Con via pre-recorded goodness. We break out out tin-foil hats due to recent UFO activity in the Ottawa area. Finally we tear a strip(or two) off Apple and their supposed ‘tablet’ and reiterate our fear of killer robots taking over the world, but not Canada. Lots of laughs, a legacy LOL and more than you can imagine is stuffed into this episode of Dos Time Live!
Show Notes:
Horse photos FTW in the Wikimedia Picture of the Year contest! We take an in-depth look at all Apple’s recent announcements at WWDC and take a moment to reflect on the sad state of Canada’s tubes. We also have all of your favorite segments inlcuding a new comic review, a CERN UPDATE, and another LOL of the Week. All this and some thoughts on the true identity of George Lucas on this episode of Dos Time Live.
Due to Wordpress problems, Show Notes for DTL 44 will be posted at a later date.
DTL’s live special in podcast form! All of our hosts gathered together and put this show together in one room, for a change! In the Entertainment Corner this week, we look at an amazing Batmobile replica! We also discuss Twitter’s ability to retain its thousands of new users and the long and drawn out death of Last.fm, in Canada anyway. In Tech Insight, Sam has two gadgets that will vibrate and zip you intoor maybe out of “the mood”. Quinn has some amazing stop motion videos to show you. Sean brings us a slightly cuter side of his “underground” lab this week with a clevar, paper-bag wearing, cute, little, roaming, robot based social experiment. Finally we wrap up with an amazing story of a man, a store and a brick. All this, lots of laughs and much more on this whacky episode of Dos Time Live!
I apologize for the poor mix this week. The live setup wasn’t perfected so some voices are louder than others. Limiter and compressors can only do so much. Any feedback can be sent to feedback@dostimelive.com Next week will be back to the regular recording setup.
